app/reg to hide sms text notification?

i don't mind getting a notification, but i hate it when the sms text shows up on the today screen. If my phone laying around in a room, people can see who text me, and what they text. is there a program/registry edit where i can hide what's popping up on the today screen.

the only thing i seen in the registry hack thread was Disable the pop-up notification that says Message Sent rev.1...if you're referring to that, that's not my issue. i'm looking for one to not show the message, when a sms comes in

Are you using the stock app or one of the threaded apps. That should work. Always has for me I am pretty sure.
Make sure you are selecting the right one if you are using anything besides the stock app, and select no message display.
