HTC Touch Home Plugin Modifications

Does anyone know how to add a different city that is not listed in the weather part of the htc home plugin? Good example I personaly live in Phoenix, AZ and it is not listed in there list and I want to add it. I am sure I am not the only one that has had this question.

Those icons are either part of the UI or deep into the DLLs, etc. I doubt they are easy to change.

Your city needs to be able to be searched at accuweather. If you can then it should update fine. I opened the cab and exported the file and modified it on my PC. Then I took the file and copied it into my documents file on the 6800, if you try to copy and overwrite the file while it's in use from your pc you will get an error, then I copied it into my Windows directory with File Manager on the phone.

Your text should look like this. US cities do not require a zip code.

<city name="Boise, ID" locationcode="NAM|US|ID|BOISE" />

Not only Accuweather, you need to use HTC's Accuweather server. Some cities that are available on Accuweather are not on HTC's Accuweather sever and will not work.

For example...

Code:

http://htc.accuweather.com/widget/htc/forecast-data_v3.asp?ac=TR2cra9U&locCode=NAM|US|CA|PITTSBURG|94565
