HTC touch dialer skin issues

2 issues have been discussed (1 confirmed) here: http://sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136071

1) with the touch dialer installed the EVDO connection keeps alive permanently

2) it has a nice sized memory leak, (4mb wasted)

3) and some people have even had problems keeping custom ringtones assigned with it installed.

just wondering how many people are having this issue, and if we can find a way to fix it i love that dialer skin

I was just coming over to post this. I did not see a memory leak, I went from 19.39 MB (fresh after soft reset) to 19.61 MB (fresh after soft reset after removing the dialer). However, I am noticing ny EVDO arrows grey now and I think I hadn't before.

do you ## codes still work after installing the touch dialer? Mine do not work and I'm trying to narrow it down to something I installed.

It's the dialer as well, the ## codes do not work with the HTC Touch Dialer installed.

the comm manager doesnt have any memory leaks as it only does minimal registry entries, but the dialer skin does alot to the registry

i noticed on the posts over at xda dev, that dialer skin is heavily customized for the wizard and only the wizard which is why we are having issues

I noticed this also today. I have been using the clauch application for a few days and decided to go back to the HTC Touch Plugin. I lost signal completely in the middle of the day for no real reason and my battery went completely dead. Turned off the the app and everything is back to normal...

I also noticed that as soon as I get a missed call, it never says the call was checked or dialed back? I always have missed calls even when nobody has called????

We are talking about the HTC Touch DIALER SKIN, not the Today plugin. There have been no issues reported with the Today plugin.

Paul_Hammons posted on PDAPhoneHome that he may try to work on it. The issue is that the skin came from a GSM device that allows data and voice at the same time. The skin needs to be adjusted for CDMA devices.
