Gmail Java and Pop3 problems

I have searched for and have gotten no answers to these issues, I would appreciate any help at all regarding these.

1: Gmail Java app, this works when the inlet imdlet java manager was installed, but i would receive many errors whenever i tried to do anything.

2: is there any way to have Gmail on the Today Screen without an additional plugin?

3: When using my Gmail account with pop3 on the Titan, it will not archive messages I download/read. I have the settings on Gmail set to archive and I have tried setting the Titan/Mogul to Delete from Server and to Keep them on the Server.

I desperately am trying to get a perfect solution to accessing Gmail on my Titan, thank you in advance.

Why in the world are you using the Gmail Java app when the built in outlook does it 10x better?

I just set up gmail in outlook and tell it to download only the headers. That way I get the notifications of new mail without using memory for the actual messages.

There are limitations to using outlook. I use both right now.
My problem with outlook on the mogul is that it won't archive messages in gmail. So when I log onto gmail via the PC or wherever, I have to manually check which emails I answered on my phone and archive or delete them.

This is even with the phone set to "Delete off server".

Also the Gmail app is just like logging into gmail on a browser.
You have full access to all of your mail (in my case thousands), with the search function, the star function and everything else.
And of course any changes made there will reflect your gmail account wherever you log on.
