Device goes into Soft Reset Loop - Discuss Here

I could never get my Mogul to soft reset without having to remove the sd card. It would just go into a bootloop and it would do this all day if I let it. I unistalled 10 apps one by one and reset after each uninstall, but it kept doing it. I read another thread about the app causing bluetooth issues and figured what the hell, let me remove the HTC close app. Guess what!? It reboots properly now. I never thought that an app this small could be causing such an issue. That HTC close app is definitely a BIG no no...

Odd, I have rebooted several times with the HTC X close app installed...no problems noted.

Strange - I'm using it with no issue at all. Here is what I've got installed:

MS Live Search
Macromedia Flash Player
Astraware My Little Tank
AcroDesign Time Logger
Astraware Bejeweled 2
HTC X-Button 1.5
MS VC 1.6
Astraware Alchemy
Resco Registry Add-in
Resco FTP Add-in
Resco Explorer
PhatWare PhatPad
Google Maps
Salling SOftware Salling Clicker
Audible AudibleAir

I'm using the stock microcard, Moto HS700 headset. Made a bunch of Reg hacks for the: A2DP, unsigned apps, camera portrait rotation.

Were you using the latest version? I am using the latest and haven't had any issues yet with it even with the soft resets I have done since I installed it.

Hey where did you download your macromedia flash from???

@dakidobf: Here - http://www.ppcgeeks.com/flash-7-plug...gul-t6006.html

As of right now, noone really knows what causes this issue. If you asked me I would tell you either iLauncher or Sprite Backup caused it for me, most likely Sprite.

Others say it's the SD card, now you say it's the HTC X button app... reality is, we don't really know.

Hope you don't minds... I changed the thread's title since most likely everyone will blame it on a different app.

The memory card has been the culprit for me every time.

Just take it out until after your ppc has booted.

Oh no Prob. Now that I think about it, I also have Sprite backup installed and some say that caused the issue. I guess in MY case the HTC close app was the culprit, but I can see how it would depend on each individual configuration. Thanks for the info.

I'm sure there has to be something in common causing this, but since your issues started after installing HTC X button and mine after using Sprite, we blame them respectively.

I'm sure someone will figure out what's going on...

Any new info?

I just started getting the "loop"
immediately after installing MS Voice Command.
I do have Sprite Backup.
Conflict maybe?
I hate removing the card every time I reset.
Lets figure it out or get HTC/Sprint to!!! (yeah right;)
