Sprint shrinking MMS attachments? Anyone else?

I'm having a friend send me a picture MMS and sprint sends it to my text message inbox as a link which I open in IE. The attachment is about 14Kb. The SAME picture MMS sent to my tmobile phone is 222Kb. Why is sprint shrinking these attachments and is there any way to defeat this? Please let me know! I've already installed the MMS fix that puts it in my messages and sends directly from the phone. Isn't there any way to pull in MMS this way and not just send it?

I think the nope is referring to automatically receiving the message which I think is a no. But do you notice that it is shrinking attachments? That's just nonsense especially with the speed of the network that they would want to shrink the attachments.
