Re: how to format fat32

I just bought a new 2GB card and it must have been formatted already because when I transferred my data, nothing popped up asking if I wanted to format the new card.

Re: how to format fat32

If you want to format on your PC, it's quite simple. Place the card in your card reader, navigate to it via My Computer, right click, and find format. Once you click on format, a box will pop up and you will select FAT32 from a drop down. When you click the format button, a warning will pop up advising that formatting will will wipe all data of your card, etc, etc. Click yes or OK, and you're off and running.

Re: how to format fat32

if you can read the card from your pc, open a command prompt window and where <drive> is the drive letter assigned to your card, use the following:
Code:
format <drive>: /FS:FAT32
For example, if my card is mounted as Drive G, the command would be:
Code:
format G: /FS:FAT32
