If you have the MMS and palm SMS cabs installed there is alot there to "boot-up" If you have not installed those cabs, I am not sure why it is taking so long

I have the threaded sms installed and dont see that slowdown. Do you have a very large amount of email downloaded to your device?

i have mms and sms threader installed and it takes about 7-10 seconds to load up. to speed it up i set it up to load upon boot up and made and exception in the X button close programs to never close messaging (tmail.exe) but instead to always minimize it. The memory usage is about 512 - 768 kb and to me it is worth it since now there is no lag what so ever since all it has to do is bring it up from the background. I like the mms and the sms feature so that is why i chose to do this.

Send a message via AIM to gigatigga
It's the MMS app. I have this same issue, uninstall the mms app and it loads up in a jiffy.

Me too, but its more like 5-10 when i kill msgs all together... otherwise its about a second if the program is still running.

Im not getting rid of mms for it though.... ill deal with it.

Has anyone seen a delay if u are reading in "closed mode" and then go to reply in "open mode" that it takes FOREVER for the reply screen to come up?
