Voice Activated Dialing

One of my favorite features on my old A900, one of the most obvious things I disliked about my Treo 700wx is the lack of it. Please tell me that the 6800 has it. I hate it when I'm driving and I have to take my focus off the road to pull up and dial a number.

As far as I can tell, the Mogul has this... I kept hitting my BT headset's button while driving and nothing happened but the screen turned on...

What happens is that the Mogul does not use Voice Command but some other app on which you actually have to train it for each contact.

Yup it's got it and it works great with my BT headset. I'm using the CARDO Scala-Rider TeamSet headset for my motor cycle. Just finished testing it on the road. Push the button on the head set, wait for beep, speak voice command, voice command is found and confirmed and phone number dialed.

When I say confirmed it plays back the recording it think matches what you said. I'm not sure how to not confirm other than disconnecting and reconnecting.

Sound was OK, my wife could here me fine, but I could barely here her. Though I have the same problem when she is on the other headset. I can hear my daughter fine. Guess, the headset doesn't pick up her tone very well, she doesn't know how to speak into a mic or I'm just a typical male and I automaticaly tune out the sound of my wife's voice, lol.....

Can you voice dial on the 6800? I know you can create voice tags with numbers or contacts that you want the phone to dial. Is there any way you can get the phone to dial numbers one at a time by speaking into it or a microphone headset so as to make a call to someone other than on a tag?

Well it sounds as if the Mogul has the same boring voice dial program that came with the 6700. I disklike having to train a phone to make a call. When you have to train the voice dial that means when you use it you have to make your voice sound exactly the same way you trained it or you won't be able to make the call. Why won't they just put a plain voice dial program that does not depend on training it? My Aunt's Moto Razr has this feature. It should now be common place among all phones in MHO.

Microsoft's Voice Command 1.6 works pretty good and you don't have to train your voice to it.

I finally upgraded to the Mogul on Friday and I downloaded MS VC 1.6 and it doesn't work properly on the Mogul.
