Turn on Phone when Slid Open

I would love to see a piece of software that would turn on the phone when you slide the keyboard out. Not sure why it isn't like this by default since if you opened the phone, you obvioulsy intend to do something with it. lol

Pretty simple piece of software I would think....or maybe their is even a registry hack for it we need to just find. Am I the only one that would like to see this?

I actually never like that on the 6700 as I would partly slide it open in my pocket sometimes.... so this is much better for me. But I bet someone can cook something up to do that.

I was hoping for something like this as well... it'd be nice to have the choice to have this feature on or off. Anyway... you never know!

Something probably could be done in the registry or software. The phone senses that you slide it open so it goes from portrait to landscape, so just adding a line to that code to adjust the backlit would probably work. But damned if I could do it LOL.

it would be nice... I only carry mine in the holster, so when it's opened, it's intentional. would be one less button press. over time that could be thousands.
