Battery life due to Internet

I was wondering if there was a cab that I could install that would make it so when my phone checks my gmail. That after a determined amount of time, the phone will disconnect from the internet with no data being transferred. My phone checks email like every 4 hours, but if I go in a 1x area and it is connected to internet, the battery life dies rapidly. Thankyou..

What you want is at www.seven.com

I use it to chk both my hotmail and gmail. You want the Consumer Editition. It is a mail client that can be set up to initialize a data connection between certain times such as 6am to 10am and after 10am it will disconnect. Ive never had any issue with it even though it is Beta. They do have thier own forums incase you need more answers or have issues.

You can set an idle time-out limit for data connections with Advanced Configuration Tool... along with many other useful tools. Search for it at freeawarepocketpc.com
