ActiveSync erased my contacts =(

As the title stated Active Sync erased all my contacts from my 6800. My pim.vol file seems to be in tact because it's about 500mb. Anyone know how to restore the contacts? I've been told to do a soft reset, which didn't work. I've been told to copy the file out of the root directory save it somewhere else then put it back, which didn't work. Just like everyone here my contacts are very important to me (I need to be able to contact my poontang lol) Anyway if anyone has any solution please point me in that direction.

I'm sorry my friend but your out of luck. That same thing happen to me when I first got the phone about a year ago. Now poeple use PIM Backup. Its easy to use and backs up your contacts, texts, call history.

I've done this, twice. Usually I sync with my computer at work. Twice I've accidentally synced with my computer at home, and it erased all of my contacts. I was always able to get them back by syncing when I got back to work (carefully), but I've been screwed for the holiday or weekend.

I use PIM backup now too. Don't even bother syncing my contacts anymore. I just back them up.

And the good thing about PIM backup is that you could set it up to automatically back up your contacts and sms, which is great and it saves it straight to your memory card.

here's the prog, just unzip and run from your memory card.

1+ for PIMBackup, download it, install it, set it to backup every other day or so to your card.

activesync doesnt control your contacts... it only transfers, if theres a prob its in your outlook...

i thought this happened once after my first hard rest and sync.. it deleted my folder and created a new one i was pissed.. a day later i found the old folder in MY DOCUMENTS.. i just deleted the new stuff and copy/pasted into the new folder...presto all my contacts back...

Check the deleted items folder in Outlook!
