Bright Spot on Screen
 

I noticed what I call a bright spot on my screen yesterday. The spot is about 1/8" by 1/8" and is slightly brighter than the area around it. The spot is very noticeable on the white Verizon splash screen. I have only had the phone for 30 days. Should I try to return the phone or is that not a problem they will replace for.

It's a known issue with 6800's. Go ahead and get it replaced.

that spot has happen to many people. I wouldn't waste time getting it replaced.

Seriously? A product has a defect and just because they made many the same way it's somehow ok?

Since some people have gotten a new Touch Pro under insurance replacement, do you think one might finagle an upgrade because of a bright spot?

I have had one since my phone was 2 weeks old. I have ignored it. But if it is to my benefit.....

Honestly, it depends on who you talk to. Your mileage will vary with different reps you speak with. Chances are you will get another 6800, but you never know.

Very well known issue. Also, if you're gonna get the 6800 replaced with another one then make sure it is brand new, I got a refurb which was nothing but junk and came with a white spot. They don't care about it, I know it is stupid but they let phones that are half way done pass the the refurb test. The last replacment I got didn't have the white spot but got it after a week or two. I am keeping it though because only God knows what can be wrong with the next one I get...

I got a white spot on the lower left corner of my screen and can see it on all bright colors. Ive had this for a very long time but I learned to deal with it. As long as the phone works fine, im fine!
