Sprint MMS program slows messaging program
 

I started with a fresh mogul 6.1 and the messaging opens fine with a slight delay but nothing major

I installed the sprint Arcsoft MMS program and there is a huge delay to open the messaging program (text, email, mms) (at least 6-7 seconds to open the messaging home screen)

Any idea why this is happening or what i can do to fix it

I would suggest unistalling and reinstalling. Mine seems to work just fine.

Edit: sorry im not running arcsoft. IM running the Sprint mms program and sMMs.

Hmm I thought arcsoft was the sprint one

I uninstalled arcsoft pleanty of times and put it back on but it seems to be the problem

No the one for Sprint is from Verisign. you can go to http://tinyurl.com/6jj2gv to download it. Its just a short cut from the powerdeck.

I think Ive used that program before also but Isnt it a huge memory hog?

Yuppp after a fresh restart with about 20 megs free i tried to send a pic and it says memory low.

Has any one tried the sprint mms on a stock rom? I know I cant launch it if my task manager says more than 70% in use. A fresh reset on my phone gives me 54-59% in use. or you could just go get sMMS.

yeah...if your a mogul owner MMs would be one of the first things you looked for...

2yrs in and nothing beats someguysmms even the free version...spend the 5 bucks and its even better..

sprint basically used his program anyways if you compare them... UI's r pretty similar, and someguys is low memory
