flashing

im trying to get around having to change my plan for the moment, and I was wondering if there was a way that i can automatically swith my old cell phone to my new. I purchased a new phone ( htc ppc6800) off of ebay and I want to save a few bucks right now, god knows the economy is killing me enough. :angry7: any way if any one can point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. oh and does anyone have a step by step process of how to upgrade to windows 6.1 with the GPS and all of that stuff, Im not all that computer savvy but im no dummy either. any advice is welcomed, thank you:mrgreen:

Since you called it a htc ppc6800, is it safe to assume that you are with Alltel. A little more information is needed to properly assist you.

nevermind, I'm dumb I just saw the Alltel

the steps are also on the website once you click the download link. make sure you have your contacts saved and you should be on your way.

I am not to familiar with the way alltel switches thier phone but is should not be too hard. Call them up and give them the ESN(Serial) from the back. DONE AND DONE

Re: flashing

Unlock your phone with Olipro 2.40 (not 1.20) or nueSPL 2.47 then flash DCD 3.3.4 and you'll see what makes the phone great. :D

Re: flashing

For Alltel...switching your phone over is easy. You can add your ESN on the my account website for Alltel or you can give them a call and they will gladly add the ESN if the ESN on the Alltel phone is not bad. I bought a Sprint Mogul with a bad ESN and added it to the Alltel database. It took me alot of trouble shooting but it's fully functional. I dont like to type but as soon as you become familiar with the guides I can walk you through the proper Alltel user settings.
