+3 new keyboard. And I dont think you peel the old one up and replace it. Its not the not keypad that is the issue but the hardware under it. Best check ebay for some with broken screens or bad ESNs

Anyone know of a good discriptive tear down of this phone to get to the keyboard? I was thinking of opening it up and just trying to fix it.

Yeah, here is a description of the process and there was a series of youtube videos showing the step by step.
