Moving Titan from Alltel to Sprint, can this be done?

I have an unlocked alltel PPC6800 and I want to give it as a gift to one of my kids. They have sprint. I called sprint to move to thier service and was told this can't be done. Is this true? Any help / infomation is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is possible.. You will want to look here first for some basic information.. When you need a ROM to flash, I would go here for a Sprint ROM... Good luck and I hope you can acheive what you set out to do.. Follow the directions, search for answers to your questions, and ask questions if you can't find any answers... You will be fine!

my understanding is they dont allow foriegn esn. meaning if u have a phone with a clean esn, from the prevouis carrier it will not work on sprint.

It will be in yor best interest to clone your kids current phone's ESN. It is so hard to get a foriegn ESN added with them. Unless you know a rep or someone you're cool with you will be having major headaches gettng your ESN in. Just clone it and be done with it...
