that link worked but it didnt allow me to install yahoo messenger. it has all the options except for that one

There are so many free and paid for type IM apps like a few Stifiling mentioned. There are also a TON of threads on IM choices so you may want to search and read on those because there are a lot of opinions. Why limit yourself to one IM service (Yahoo) when you can use something like IM+ and have them all?
