Where is the location of the 'exclamation' system sound?
 

Hey all,

I am looking to replace the default 'exclamation' sound that blasts every time an error or notification box pops up (has the logo of the triangle and exclamation point).

This comes up often when making reg changes, uninstalling, etc - and it's so loud that it drives me nuts.

I have looked in HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\ but none of those seem like the right even.

I have also looked at all the wav files in the \windows directory, and non of those seem to be it either...

If you know where this sound is, please let me know...

Go to Settings/Sounds & Notifications and uncheck the box for Events (warnings, system events) and that should stop the annoying sounds. That is what I did.

Ok - i'll try that... I thought that would get rid of SMS reminders and other WANTED stuff...
