Cool new apps on WM Professional
 

A coworker traded in his Verizon VX6800 for the new Touch Pro which has WM Professional 6.1 on it. I was impressed with the responisiveness of the screen over my mogul and vx6800 (I have 1 of each for work and personal). What I saw that was awesome was OCR on a phone! He has an app called "Word Card Mobile" that will use OCR against a photo of a business card and accurately put all that info into the contacts! It worked flawlessly here in my tests. It also had another app I thought was cool called MP3 Trimmer that would essentially allow you to edit MP3s on the phone and convert them to ringtones. While this second app's functionality can be done on the PC, I thought it was cool to see it on the phone.

Anyone have any idea how to get these onto the Mogul or VX6800? A .cab file anyone? :) Googling for this was ineffective ](*,)

MP3 trimmer is in the kitchen. i believe the business card app you speak of has been talked about but the general idea was the 6800 cam wasnt good enough.

I have the mp3 trimmer, but haven't been able to get my hands on the buiness card reader. give me a minute to find it and i'll post.

It was my bad. Yes, it is "WorldCard Mobile" not "Word Card". I'm looking around for a cab to try out.

Been doing the MP3 Trimming for quite a while with the HTC Audio Manager that I use to play my MP3's.
