I have doni it on my mogul, I'm not sure if I described how I tranfered the files to my 8 gb sd card and switched all the id # on here would violate PPC Geeks rules. So It can be done.

Yes I have DH Black Vista Rom and GPS is already set up. Works fine in Tomtom, Igo, Live Search, etc.. Yeah I tried enable/ disable and COM4. Theres no option for intermediate driver though....

Re: How to transfer Garmin XT to a different card

i have XT updated to the newest 5.XX update and i dont need a primer. maybe you can reinstall it and do the update from garmins page and try that. before i needed to prime the gps with HTCGPS tools but now i just fire up XT and within 30-45 sec i have a lock.

Why not just use Google Maps or Live Search for free? Works great, has everything you need

Thats a shame because Garmin has some of the best free subscriber benefits, one of the few reasons I wound up buying Garmin XT. Of all the GPS programs I've used, Garmin is probably my favorite. The only gripe I have with it is that the maps don't 'move' as smoothly as I'm driving as like TomTom.

Re: How to transfer Garmin XT to a different card

Not sure how much info to give but I purchased my copy of XT and moved it onto my 8gig card.

Copy all of the files from the XT card onto your larger card. Insert card into device and start XT up in demo mode, it will not find any sats but you can now go into Settings/About and make a note of your Software unit ID. You now need to get a copy of the Keygen version 1.5 and enter that key number to create the unlock code.

Re: How to transfer Garmin XT to a different card

legally i dont see why you cant copy it,

according to copyright laws your allowed to make a copy of software, music, and movie for back up. incase your origional copy gets destroyed. since they (the company) wont provide you with a new original. no media format is permanant there for that "back up" provision is in there.

as for how to do the card swap i have no info on that... good luck
