ringer dosen't work
 

can somebody help me please. my ringer or vibrate dosent work on incomming calls. the volume is turned up in notifacations. and the alarm sounds and music plays in windows media player, but no ringer when someone calls. I have a htc 6800 and i cooked a rom windows 6.1 20924 selections. is there anything that i forgot to put in my cooked rom. thanks in advance

do you get any sounds from phone?(music ect) any volume hacks?

go into settings > sounds & notifications> under notifications check the ring type see what it says in there

yes i get music from the phone, the alarm sounds, and telephone ringer 3 is selected in notifications, i tried other ringers and even made a personal ringer, but no luck

if your pretty confortable with flashing roms i would try flashing dcd 3.4.4 or nueROM and see if it works in there that way you know its the rom for sure i dont know why it wouldnt be but thats just me lol.

my wife has the same problem with stock rom .....and when it does work you have to have the phone next to your ear to hear it. her 6800 is completely stock....any quesses why it won't work???

wow i have no clue thats strange does the alarm sound from the external speaker if not you might have damage to it i know this happened to my internal speaker and i had to send mine back

I Just Flashed An Altell Rom On My Bell Phone And The Ringer Works Fine. What Am I Missing In My Build To Cause The Ringer Not To Work.

try using an older build of windows mobile and see if that fixes the issue

I am having this problem with my Treo 800W. For some reason the registry entry for the initvol for the ringer keeps resetting to 0. I have to manually go in and change it. If I soft reset, it reverts to 0, making my phone not ring. Text message notifications come through just fine, but rings for known callers do not come through.

I am trying to figure out the cause of this, but it is quite elusive right now to me.
