Insurance Help

My buttons on the phone stopped working so the only way to use phone is just the touch screen. I took it to the sprint store to see if I can get a replacement or fixed and they told me to call Asurion. I don't see why I would have to pay a deductible for something that just stopped working on the phone. Can someone tell me where in the conditions where I can find where it says I shouldn't have to pay for the repairs? There is no major damage to phone just normal wear and tear.

What did they say? Are they telling you to pay the $50 deductible.

if you're out of your 1-year HTC warranty, call sprint (not asurion) and explain the problem to them. i know for a lot of people they'll give you a $50 bill credit to offset the cost of the deductible. also - i filed a claim for my mogul with asurion yesterday; they're still shipping out brand new in retail box (non-refurb) moguls. take advantage of that.

well I can tell u a lil bit more since im a Sprint rep third party... well if u have insurance on ur phone u don't have to worry take it to the sprint store BUT the one that has a repair center.. if u take it to a regular store they will not do nothing for u ether like u said they will tell u to call sprint or they will try n check n upgrade u without notice n gave u a new phone... but that's the best thing take it to a repair center n they will repair it n if they cannt they will provide u with a new phone n they might give it for free or charge u 50 deductible non ref.

Dont be too sure that it's not a refurb..
They told me mine was new but when I went to activate it showed recon(refurb)

if you pay for the TEP plan, they offer extended warranty and repair service. Insurance is usually only for gross mistreatment of the device or if its lost/stolen. If its normal wear and tear, they should replace it for free.
