Transfer Garmin Mobile XT Mini to Micro?

I bought Garmin Mobile XT and I did not realize the one I bought was on a mini SD card. My phone uses a micro Sd card. Is there any way you can transfer everything to a micro from the mini? I have done a search, but cannot find any help.

Re: Transfer Garmin Mobile XT Mini to Micro?

I just purchased this software this week and successfully moved it to a bigger card. The problem is that using this procedure you must get the Keygen1.5 software that can be used as a tool for pirates to obtain the software illegally. That said Garmin is partly to fault for forcing users that want to move the data onto a bigger card to go this route. They should have provided the tool to do this or at minimum offered it on a bigger card.

Have a look here:

Re: Transfer Garmin Mobile XT Mini to Micro?

once activated leagally on the device you should not have to use the keygen method. I have copied to and from different sd cards without issue i even had to use a copy of the sd card i had in a folder when my card acted up and i had to format it and transfer the data back. For his problem it should still work he will just need a mini sd to adapter and a sd card reader as i don't think that the card garmin gave him preloaded is mini sdhc. You will just need a micro sd to sd adaper so you can copy to folder on pc then copy back to the micro sd unless you can put your mogul in usb mode or have the hack that lets u use as mass storage. (activesync is a slower alternative) to copy card to phone without having to copy to pc first.

His software should have come with a key so if he needs it when setting it up the first time on his ppc he should be able to use the one provided.

Garmin Mobile XT also works for me after a hard reset and fresh install from card.. I only had to enter my key the verry first install.

2 sum up .. copy content off mini sd with sd adapter to somewhere on your pc then change the card to micro sd with proper adapter and put off pc onto the root of the card on the micro sd... that way the 2577 folder gets read and will autorun the setup when micro sd is inserted.

The copy I purchased (this week) did not include ANY keys of any sort. Emails to Garmin assured me of this. The Keygen is needed to use the software on ANY card other than the original. If like me you did purchase it then do not feel guilty for using the keygen.

We must not have the same version or something. Mine is North America USA with 2009 Maps and comes on a Micro SD 2GB with adapters for Mini and standard SD slots.

When I tried to copy straight across I was prompted for a code, to purchase, or trial but none of the options worked. It would not find the GPS.
