Unhappy Help - I rebooted my Verizon XV6800 and it came up in the boot loader

Literally, that is what happened. I just got a used XV6800, it was a couple weeks old, it was working perfectly, I had been syncing fine. I noticed that Sync was not connecting, so I shut down my phone and restarted it. It came up in the tri-color boot loader:

TITA100
SPL-1.04.0000

USB/Serial (depending on whether it is plugged into the USB or not)

I tried using titan_exitbl.exe, but that did not do anything. Then I tried flashing to the original Verizon ROM per the thread 'Verizon - Restoring your xv6800 to a Stock Verizon ROM' (because that seemed to be in the state that it was in), but I can't connect with Active Sync, so that won't work. Any more ideas? Is it bricked? Anyone else seen this happen, or have an idea why it might happen?

Thanks!

Did you disable the connection in ActiveSync first??

Re: Help - I rebooted my Verizon XV6800 and it came up in the boot loader

Also, regarding ActiveSync, I have killed wcescomm.exe and rapimgr.exe to eliminate ActiveSync. But now I am getting a message from windows when I plug in the USB port that the USB device has malfunctioned and is not recognized by Windows. Also, when I run titan_exitbl, it can't find the USB port for the PPC. Is that now indicating that my device's USB is now dead? I have tried a thumb drive in the USB port and that works fine.
