how do i hard reset htc titan?
 

looking everywhere on how to hard reset my phone i need it to work right now its not staying on it keeps turning on n off so hard resetting i think will help it im not sure.. or any suggestions?

Hold down both soft keys and the soft reset hole simultaneously...soft keys are the 2 dots to the left and right of the D-pad.....if you do it correctly on-screen prompts will appear on a white screen.....follow them

The on off deal....I would say it is hardware failure if the hard reset wont do it....

ok i have called my cell frm another fone and the call went thru also sent a txt. tried to send a txt back n it shut off.. seems like it only turns off it i start touching the screen a few times...it just turns off then back on...i dnt kno what i should do? any suggestions?

like soft reset off. it does it by itself n now stays on htc screen for a few seconds then goes black then back to the screen

ok seems like if i try to send txt n stuff just screen turns blk n all the buttons still lit n it turns off...ill try the pwr camera n soft reset thing

ok im at the tri color screen the text reads:

TITA100
SPL-1.201ipro (in the red part)

in the white part it says serial

thats all the text on it

problem solved! connect the phone via activesync (it should stay on when activesynced) and run this (note when you are done the device will probably be stuck in the tri color screen and say 2.10.olipro instead of 1.20 to get out, flash any rom of your choice

i haven't dun nothing yet
i just only plugged up the fone to the active sync cord to the computer n it says it dnt recognize the usb plug lol..if it aint one thing it's another..greaaat.

good luck then just follow the instructions and be ready to reflash (may not have to reflash but most likely)

ok installed active sync it wnt recognize the usb port still.. says one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfucntioned and windows doesn't recongnize it

soft reset restart the computer but i gotta go beddy bie (haha) now so ill catch this thread in the morning or you could look up activesync problems

YES! it is now officially fixed! sync it up and rune the exe and follow the directions EXACTLY and you are done problem solved been ni with you

Here's another thing you can try: Remove the battery for 30 seconds and maybe blow on it. Check the contacts to make sure it isn't corroded.

yoooo..hibby.. well i was able to get the thing to active sync.. n i followed the instructions.. now it still says

SPL-1.20.0lipro

still. n now it's been stuck on bootloader mode

any suggestions n sum one else gave other advice

Hibby: lets try to get it right if you're going to help someone huh? the right bootloader would say Olipro 2.40 on it when done properly. the reason it says 1.20 now is it wasnt done properly.
