HTC HOME for new alltel 6.1 rom?
 

as any put HTC home on the new alltel rom? was thinking of trying it..but last time i did on a 6.1 rom from DCD it locked up and i had to do a hard rest

I had the same problem & finally found one of the older versions of HTC Home that works (I'm using the same ROM) but it messed up the backlight setting control.

I found a fix for that, but I have read that if you first install the HTC Home Customizer & then let it DL & install HTC Home it will work. I haven't personally tried that however.

yea, i did that before and my backlight went out, what fix did u use?

I have installed the HTC Home Customizer on the new 6.1 ROM and it works just fine. I let the customizer download and install HTC Home for me.

Im reloading my ROM right now. Home is really messing with this new Alltel ROM. Did a hard reset a few times, But every time I did anything with Home, or the Customizer it lock. Then it started locking on boot, about 5-10 seconds after the password screen.

Exactly what worked for me. I'm running dcd 3.2.6 and have no problems whatsoever with htc home.

I let the customizer load the plugin after I loaded a Fresh ROM, and so far it seems to be working. Must have been doing something wrong before.

or just a different build of htc home that didn't work with your setup.

well a problem i am having now is one i have had before with HTC home, i have a password on my phone, so this morning when i woke up to unlock it, it wouldn't unlock, then i finally had to softrest it to get it to unlock, it took my password then. What happends over nite for it to forget my password? has this happend to anyone else.
