Problem with video
 

i have an htc mogul and none of my videos will play when i upload them to my computer. the ending is in mp4 format. dont know why it is doing this now. do i convert it? how?

mine play using wmp on my pc with out any conversion. Check and see if you have the latest version of wmp.

You need to DL quicktime to play mp4s or some other app that will play it. mp4 is not a native windows codec/format for WMP

well i downloaded the free converter, however none of my audio plays. and it tells me there is no audio, but i know for sure before i uploaded the videos from my phone it had audio

quit trying to convert and go get a player (non-WMP) that plays mp4s. When you convert there are much more to do in good converting that just a one click converter that goes from mp4 to mpg. There are codecs and other things involved that you may not have which is also why you dont hear audio. There is an app called Gspot that you can run for a audio/video file and tell you what codecs it needs to play and if you have them or not.
