Sent Message Notification

I recently upgraded to Verizon's 6.1. Before the upgrade I would get a notification when message was sent. Now I get nothing. I have "Play Sound" and "Vibrate" checked under Settings, but the "Display message on screen" is grayed out. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Sent Message Notification

Get a registry editor such as Total Commander or Resco Registry Editor and head to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings. Delete or rename the string value SMSNoSentMsg. Soft reset and you should be in business.

Re: Sent Message Notification

OK - I installed Resco and deleted the string. When I do a soft reset the entry comes back. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Sent Message Notification

delete the string again.
hit the power button wait about 60 seconds
hit the power button again to turn the screen
hit the power button again and soft reset

...wait come to think of it I use Resco and don't have to soft reset for the changes to take effect...try it anyway.

Re: Sent Message Notification

If you do a proper shutdown you don't have to wait at all....

Soft resetting will reset before the changes have a chance to be written out to flash...

Just hold the power button down and it will pop up the shutdown screen and shut it down that way and it will wait and do a normal shutdown.... This makes sure everything in the buffer is actually written out to flash....

Re: Sent Message Notification

you could probably change the DWORD Value from 1 to 0 here HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings to get it to work also

Re: Sent Message Notification

Setting the value to 0 and then doing the shutdown worked.
Thanks everyone!
