How to completely turn off the XV6800 phone?

Does anyone know how to completely turn off the XV6800 to conserve battery power?
I know WiFi is a big consumer of battery power, therefore, I always leave it off until I need to use it. I do camping a lot and there is no power outlet at camp site for recharging. In attempt to conserve battery, I switch the device to flight mode. That is supposed to turn off both the phone and the data. But my phone is still loosing battery power. I don't know what is causing it. So can anyone tell me how to completely turn the phone off and not to loose battery power?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

The manual says you can turn the phone off, but you will need to let it boot each time you want to use it. Just hold down the power button for five seconds and a pop-up will ask if you are sure you want to turn the phone off.

This is a good idea if you want to store the phone without use for at least a day or more. Otherwise, just turn off the radios (as you have tried) and live with the resultant drain. Which is not much; after turning off all radios I left my phone alone for 24 hours and the battery meter still read 100% when I came back.

There are always other power options available while camping to keep the phone charged. Some car chargers will still work off lower voltages such as lantern batteries. There are even solar and AA chargers available.
