Wi-Fi Not Seeing Networks

I have searched the board but can't find the answer. When I turn on my Wi-Fi switch I can see and connect to my home network. However, when I am turn on the switch in another hotspot I do not see any networks. I know they are there as I have connected to them with my laptop. Shouldn't I get some kind of notification of all networks available? I have the "TURN ON AVAILABLE NETWORK CONNECION" box checked in Wi-Fi Advanced Settings.

Re: Wi-Fi Not Seeing Networks

Ok so with your phone you can connect at home but when you go out you cannot connect to a known spot and this is a known spot bc you have connected there in the past with the laptop. So my suggestion is to take your laptop and phone there at the same time and try it. Maybe at the time when you took your phone and didnt have your laptop that the access point was down. I agree it is wierd but then again maybe it is just that spot. What about other areas or spots?

Re: Wi-Fi Not Seeing Networks

i think more information is needed..
sometimes that happens if you are using dcd rom, but until we know what you are using we can only speculate.
