Re: Wet mogul problem

Just call Asurion (insurance people) and tell them you need a new phone, due to liquid damage. It doesn't matter anymore if the phone gets wet. You can replace your phone up to 3x/year. I was in Mexico last month and my phone fell off of my hip into the ocean and when i got back, I ordered a new Mogul and got a BRAND SPANKIN NEW ONE IN THE MAIL!!!.

Now a few hours later, every time I place my battery in the phone, or plug it in to charge (without battery), the Caps, and FN led light up, then will fade out/pulse. The white watermark is still completely white, so I might get away with getting a refurbished replacement, (again).

Anyone ever experience this? I cannot open it all the way up, since I don't have the tools, just wondering if over night maybe it will dry and i'll be able to turn it back on.

thanks.

Edit: Actually I just tried to turn it on again after posting this, the 2 LEDs still light up, but this time the phone did turn on and display the normal sprint screen, and then screen went back to black.

white rice overnight, works like a charm, used the same technique on a water-logged camera as well.

Re: Wet mogul problem

White rice does indeed work. I saved a Razor that sat in a creek for over an hour and most recently my 16 Gig PNY thumb drive that my wife washed last Thursday. However, I left the phone in the white rice for a week and changed the rice every other day. I left the thumb drive in the rice for two days. I have also washed keyboards out that had coke spilled in them and put them in the oven on LOW (110 - 120 deg) for a few hours with success.

The last time I got a replacement I was told you are limited to 2 replacements in 12 months.
