help!!..Text messages ringtones

Hello does anyone can help me to change or make my own ringtones for text messages. instead of using the ones that come with the phone cause those are boring.. so if someone knows how please help thanks..

I believe that they have to be wav files but I mat be wrong. Copy the sound to the windows folder and see if they show up in the notifications.

make sure they are only about 3 seconds because a bad problem with ppcs is that once a txt ringer starts it aint stoppin. no know fix yet. Use audacity to trim it down

Can you tell me which part of the Windows folder or where should i copy the .wma songs or ringtones to

On the root of that folder. In other words, when you click on windows it goes in that folder. Cannot be inside another folder that is inside the windows folder. Wow I bet that cleared it up.

Put them mp3s in \application data\sounds\

On WM6.1 I think it can be MP3s in \Windows.

Yes, I have all custom tones and they are in \Windows. Mine are .wav and I use Wavepad BTW.

I use MP3 and .wav with 6.1

yea, my friend had a whole song as his text message notification for all of about 30 minutes, we all started texting him just because we thought it was funny that his phone didnt stop ringing for that whole 30 minutes.
