Re: Great USB->3.5mm Adapter?

Just get either a Bluetooth FM Transmitter or use the 3.5mm and any FM transmitter will work.

Re: Great USB->3.5mm Adapter?

Sadly, my car doesn't like FM Trasmitters... Turbo gives too much feed back on the 3 I've tried (not enough shielding) and I can hear the turbo spool up. Sounds kinda cool, but useless for listening to music (faster you go, louter it gets).

Re: Great USB->3.5mm Adapter?

Its not your car that does not like the FM transmitters it is a bad ground or you have a floating ground somewhere in between the source. Try better grounding of the radio and your power socket ( 12v power outlet ) splice into the grounds of each and put a cable directly to a good ground under the dash somewhere that you know is getting good clean ground. This will get rid of your whine that increases with engine rpm.

A few days later and still no problems. I'm waiting on our next big paycheck to get a FM transmitter.

LOL, that's not the turbo you're hearing, that's the alternator. Alternator whine is a very common problem in car audio installation.

Re: Great USB->3.5mm Adapter?

My over priced adapter with charger worked by using the Protonus Pin Adjustment Technique. Thanks Protonus!

Re: Great USB->3.5mm Adapter?

Hey MrObious, I'm just glad I found an adapter that works with my new birth control headphones and your ROM . I would have had no clue as to why I wasn't getting any sound if it wasn't for this forum.
