help me please! i'm stuck in 1x mode
 

calling all you titan gurus out there. could anyone assist me with this issue i'm having. my phone is stuck in 1x mode and won't go back to EVDO. i dont know how this happened. i was trying to tether my phone and adding wmodem to my phone then somewhere along the way this happened.

i've done a search on here and xda and could not find anything helpful (or maybe i just need someone to interpret this ppc jargon to me in "lay-man's" terms). i tried checking stuff in the epst setting but didn't know where to begin but did read up on the HRD stuff but again, didn't really understand it.

i also tried under phone setting the operation mode and it's on hybrid.

one thing i noticed was that in EPST mode, under the setting column my A-Key (authentication key) was blank. could this be the problem?

someone help me please! i've been at this for hours and am pretty beat :(

Did you try a soft reset?

Well you can try Phone -> Menu -> Options -> Services -> Mode of Operation and then choosing Hybrid.

If that option isnt there then go in the registry and go to

HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\HiddenPreferenceMod e

and change it from 1 to 0

thanks guys for the help! i just ended up hard resetting and actually flashing up the rom! i was running dcd 3.2.5 and just went to 3.2.6 and it did the trick. i guess it was a sign to change...

Hopefully you won't have to do that every time you tether!
