htc mogul

I'm getting a Mogul as a replacement in a few days. I currently have an Apache, I found the 6.1 update for the phone to unlock gps and rev. A, but, I don't want to brick the phone when I get it. So what's the proper unlocker im going to need? Or do I need to just use a custom cooked rom and not worry about the new update? Thanks for the support!!

2.40 or 2.47 SPL unlocker for custon ROMs, but you don't need any of those for the official update you can find on HTC's site.

well if u going to get the Mogul in a few days u don't have to worry about anything... as far as I know sinze july of this year all Moguls have the gps n rev A the only thing that it might not have is the WM6.1 but u can download it from the HTC webpage

i have a mugul and my gps works fine when i got it windows 6.0 was on it i have 6.1 on it now

I plan on using the internet sharing and teethering, I've heard that Sprint is going to be charging for it now if you aren't using a cooked rom, and since I use my apache often for teethering I plan on doing the same with my mogul.

i had to do the hack for it to work i am on windows 6.1

I don't understand why you had to do a hack, if you're in the US, your carrier is Sprint, and you have a HTC PPC6800, all you had to do was update to the latest ROM 3.56, it has all those features plus WM 6.1 built-in. Although it is nice to know that ICS info is available...lol

Definitely but, my homie just got a touch as a replacement and was using his for teethering and racked up $50 in charges for 2 hours of use. The hell with that, I pay Sprint enough, I've been a customer for a long time and I'm not paying them any more $$

so I'll take ICS

from what i under stand sprint blocked it on 6.1

I got a Mogul, and i wanna update it, can anybody tell me the HTC site to upgrade the phone
