Question mogul infrared remote control

Does anyone know when or if we might someday see a program that will make our moguls work like universal remotes?

Other chipsets do work, like the PPC6700, or different PPCs, but it doesn't work for the Mogul. I can't imagine that we'll see a program that works for our phone, though, since the Diamond, the X1, and the Touch Pro are coming out really soon. I think we'll probably just get forgotten.

Re: mogul infrared remote control

I'm sure there is software out there that turns the TITAN into a universal remote but what's the point of it. Meaning, the IR power is so low that you would have to practically place the IR sensors together in order for it to work. Might as well change the setting manually by hand if your going to get that close to any object such as a TV.

Re: mogul infrared remote control

It could come in handy for devices that require a remote for setup. For ex, my old compaq wit nevo is the only device that allows me to configure my projector and tv since i lost the original remotes

Re: mogul infrared remote control

I doubt a universal remote for PPC will have all those type of configurations. I would need a Big Brand Vendor to create it in order to support Brand Name and a large base of products.
