Help with Internet Sharing
 

I am running No2Chem 5066. I used internet sharing once before and it worked fine. However now i tried to do it but no go. When i bring up Internet Sharing i have connection is USB network is Phone as Modem. I hit connect and it says check USB cable connection.

Whenever i plug my phone in activesync starts i read you need to cancel or kill activesync how do i do this? sorry do i just Stop it?
Also a screen pops up Connected to USB status connected and i have the option to disconnect or hide status.

Any suggestions

well i dont think u need to stop active sync. but i dont use that rom. you are doing everything correct except one thing. you DO want to start internet sharing BEFORE you plug it in to your computer. you WANT it to say 'check usb cable'.

the way to disable active sync is to open it. go to 'connection settings' and remove the check that says 'allow USB connections' that way active sync wont start when u connect.

hey can someone plz help me. I have been trying to see how I can connect my phone to ps3 through internet sharing. I have wmwifirouter and the fixed cab to internet sharing but when I connect usb cable from phone to ps3. phone says check the usb connection (from the internet sharing program). The wifirouter program says waiting for connection to ISC. Please someone help I been trying to do this for a few days and been getting frustrated wit this. I use my ps3 for updates, browser, and online gaming. If someone can help that would be grately appreciated

If your using WMWIFIrouter, don't start the internet sharing app yourself. Just run wmwifirouter. It sets itself up, starts ICS and the internet connection. If your going to use wifi to connect your PS3 to the phone, then you dont need to plug the usb cable in. Just make sure you plug a power cable in otherwise your battery will go FOOOF!

I just upgraded to the latest kitchen. Each time I upgrade or hard restart i am able to use internet sharing and then when i go to use it again i get nothing. I see the phone but i cant connect to the internet.
