Change Vibrate Strength
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VIB STRENGTH_LOW set to 1. ----------------------------------------- Ok, so I ran into this and it is a nice find but how high of a setting has anyone went to and were there any adverse effects? I understand the basic principle of centrifugal force and dont want it to go there. I bumped mine from 1 to 2 and rebooted and noticed a big difference. |
Re: Q on vibe strength reg edit
what difference did you notice? i was told that the only options were either 0 or 1. 0 is for stronger vibration. and 1 to set lower. how did it feel on 2?

Re: Q on vibe strength reg edit
Adverse effects: arguably the vibration feature causes a white spot to develop in the bottom left hand corner. I have had the 'slightly' noticeable white spot from day 1 (about a year ago). A few months after I got my mogul I started using 'Triangle Powers PPC-6800 Hacks' program and always increse the vibration strenght, which I think is just a shortcut for what you described above. I have noticed no difference in the spot (it's not getting worse). Search for "white spot" or "burn in" and come to your own conclusion!

Re: Q on vibe strength reg edit
yeah that is the cause of the dreaded white spots. the vibration motor is too strong so people would lower the strength. but i still got some white spots. can't get rid of them grr
