Re: Bootsplash Kitchen

this is one way of doing it but if you are cooking you can also add those images in the BuildOS directories

C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\Animations\240x320
C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\SplashImages\240x320

Also, the tool (converter) you are referencing is also located in the BuildOS at the directory below

C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\TOOLS\SplashTools

Thanks for bring it up because they are a great way to further customize your device

it is in JPEG format and it is in size (240x320). the size of the pic looks good (does not look stretched), the only thing is that at the bottom it does not show part of my pic.

Re: Bootsplash Kitchen

It cannot be in jpeg but needs to be formatted to .nb

Click here and download the BootSplash Tools. Unzip it and click on

nb_image_converter_859_418.exe

This will convert the file for you to the correct format.

As a matter of fact, click here and start reading at Instructions for Manual cooking (using Bootsplash Tools):

Re: Bootsplash Kitchen

Ok, take ur jpeg and make sure it is either 320*240 or 240*320 depending on if you want landscape or portait.

1) open nb_image_converter.exe
2) load the file
3) save as .nb in the RUU folder
4) sync your device if it isnt already
5) run the RUU

that should be it unless you want to do a first and second splash screen
