Re: Bye Bye SERO

Unlimited text was an add on bonus which always had an available thru date, meaning the bonus was only available for a certain period of time. But Sprint always extended the availablitiy time. So even though it was a bonus, it was more like it was actually part of the plan itself.

Some people were confused by the date, thinking that they would only have unlimited text for x amount of days, until the expiration date. But in reality if you signed up with unlimted text it's there for the life of the contract.

Re: Bye Bye SERO

In my experience cancelling SERO worked out in my favor. I now have a retention plan that includes 1500 shared minutes, nights @ 7, free mobile to mobile, roaming, unlimited shared data, to include sprint nav & tv , plus insurance on two lines. Cost? $85.month. I was paying $ 30 for SERO 500, called & said I wanted Iphone, retentions gave me the same as sero adding the 1500 shared mins for $23.

Re: Bye Bye SERO

man u'r guys' plans suck...heres mine

2100 Shared Anytime Minutes, TEP, Unlimited Free Incoming Minutes, Sprint Pick 3, Sprint 2 Home, Unlimited Nights & Weekends at 6PM, Unlimited Mobile 2 Mobile, Nationwide Long Distance & Roaming, Unlimited Texts & Picture Mail, Unlimited PowerVision Data, Unlimited Sprint TV & Phone as Modem Service = $82.37 after taxes a month.

so my base plan is actually only $62.49 a month for a shared plan...plus insurance on both phones and taxes

How the hell did you get all that? Have you been with Sprint since the beginning?

Re: Bye Bye SERO

When I get back home from this assignment, I had planned to call them and discuss my options, because I really wanted to get a third phone on the sero F&F that I have on the other two. My only drawback (or perhaps my trump card) is that Im about a month behind on my bill right now because of a move.

Re: Bye Bye SERO

Well, I guess you guys were right. Retentions isn't giving me a break. This SUX. There is no way i can get a third phone into the account without going over $150. Either that, or I can dump $150 to terminate out of the account and then go to T-Mobile or Alltel and get a shared plan with three phones for under $100.

Re: Bye Bye SERO

Too bad Alltel will become Verizon.

For now Alltel has some good deals and great CS and support. I would say go with them but don't sign any contracts.
