PortableApps & Open Office

Please bear with me as this may be posted somewhere but I haven't found it.

I have searched the forums but find little reference to open office or the portable apps. Will the portable apps suite run on the Titan? If anyone is running it?

Re: PortableApps & Open Office

I am pretty sure the "PortableApps" suite are Windows apps that can be installed on portable devices, like thumb drives. They don't run on Windows Mobile devices.

Those aren't windows mobile apps, they are regular windows applications that have been modified to run off a memory card or some such without installation on the host computer. While it's not impossible that something like open office would run (perhaps crawl is a better word) on a windows mobile device in a few years (they need more memory mostly), it's pretty unlikely.

The link is to Softmaker Office 2008. It is 100% compatible with Microsoft Office files and does not require reformatting of Office files into a Windows Mobile compatible version (as Mobile Office does). It also allows editing of powerpoint files directly on the PocketPC (unlike Mobile Office).
