what is preventing my text message notifications?

i recently played around with my phone..downloaded stuff, erased stuff...etc

right now if i have the phone on, vibrate, i get to vibration or noise when i get a text message. ontop of that the message doesnt appear on the screen.

under settings, sounds notifications i have events checked, and in notifications, under new text message, i have play sound checked, display message on screen, and vibrate

what else could be causing this?

the programs installed are:
htc home
htc home customizer
psshutxp
phm reg editor
palring
codyppc led killer
a2dp bt hack
battery tweaks
internetspeedhack
mmssizelimithack
nosentmessagehack (possiblity?) but i think this just takes the message
saying message sent away
batteryandperformace
skyfire
google maps
flashvideobundle
tcpmp

i recently had a cab called markallasunread installed because i was having a problem where it said 1 new message always (even when the inbox was empty) so i downloaded a few things to get rid of it

any ideas?

any registry things i need to check?

Re: what is preventing my text message notifications?

I had the same problem for some time. The only thing that fixed it was uninstalling Codyppc's Threaded SMS app. If you don't even have a threaded sms app installed, I couldn't guess what's causing it.

Re: what is preventing my text message notifications?

i thought opera9.5 was causing something like this.

also i would ditch led killer. search for nueled. much better.

Re: what is preventing my text message notifications?

anyone else? I'm having the same problem. I upgraded to the newest opera 9.5 beta and messed around in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\ still don't have notification of text/email. I really don't feel like hard resetting.

Thanks

Re: what is preventing my text message notifications?

Unfourtinately that is about the only solution. Use PPCPimBackup and just keep a copy of your cabs on your storage card. You can be back up and running within an hour or two at most.
