Random Resets

I don't think I had this problem before unlocking my 6800, since unlocking, it soft resets randomly and often only when on battery. If it's connected to the charger or the computer, no problems.

Anyone else see this issue?

Re: Random Resets

It may be a loose connection on your battery.

Re: Random Resets

Mine is doing the same thing. It seems to be getting worse. Once a day it seems now it will reset two or three times in a row before fully booting up.

See a similar thread of the problems others and I are having here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=34749

Hoping for some light being shed on this subject...

Re: Random Resets

I have the same issue. I've only actually seen it happen a few times, but now what I do is open a few programs in the task manager before I go to bed and see if they are still running when I wake up. If they arent, your phne rebooted, simple way to keep an eye on it.

Its happened on the Verizon rom and other rom's I've had, so I'm thinking hardware issue.

Re: Random Resets

I reflashed to the official Alltel Rom from HTC's site and the problem went away.

I am assuming this means it has nothing to do with the hardware specifically.

Guess I'm sticking with an official ROM until I can get a hold of another 6800 since it started continually rebooting every 10-15 seconds.

Re: Random Resets

Got it!

You need olipro 2.xx to run the newer roms.

You can get it here:

}From XDA

http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1203387839

"SPL 2.40-olipro is REQUIRED.
A device with SPL 1.20-olipro will constantly reboot with this rom!"

Re: Random Resets

The reason it randomly resets itself is because for whatever reason, your memory usage is at 100%. Smartphones and all windows mobile phones do it alike.
