what do you need to know? just basic?
search for a dialer on the site. Get the CAB file and transfer it to your phone using activesync. Open up the cab file and install. Soft reset and the dialer should then be installed.

i wanna use custom dialers. havent found anything on them tho. i just want a guide that says how to make/use custom dialers

HTC Dialer, there is a thread around here that one of the guys posted that lets you make your own overlays for it...still looking.
