Re: fastest titan dialer

What do you mean by the fastest? I'm a little confused. I've used several different dialers with the 5067 ROM and they all worked fine. If you're talking about response time, they're all about the same, although I've found that freeing up as much memory as possible helps the dialers, as well as everyhting else, respond better. I always cook in Oxios Hibernate to free up the memory that leaks from different apps and dotFred Task Manager to completely close things that I have already exited. PIE and Google maps, among others, tend to stay active and use resources loooong after you have exited from them. I can say that I have noticed a slight delay whenever I have the vibrating dial pad installed, though. I've had very good success using the Vogue dialers with all of my ROM's, and I am getting ready to load #40.

Re: fastest titan dialer

I found the bluefrog bigbutton dialer to be very responsive and the iphone minimal dialer is fast but the window were the numbers are displayed is little small.

Re: fastest titan dialer

Turn off the keypad tones in Start>Settings>Personal>Phone>Keypad. That will speed up any dialer.

Re: fastest titan dialer

You can do the same thing a little more directly if you want. From your dialpad in the menu, select options, then change Keypad from short tones to off.

This accomplishes the same thing, just less steps.

Re: fastest titan dialer

I find this to be one of the most disappointing things about my Titan. In reality it's not HTC's fault, but Microsoft's. Every WinMo phone is sluggish in most respects especially when it comes to the phone features (calling, receiving calls, dialing, etc.). When people see my Titan they think it is a really cool phone. I tell them, "Yeah it's great, except it makes a terrible phone."
