if i have the unlimited data service pack, do i get charged extra for using the phone as a modem, because i see people wanted programs that bypass certain charges

search for tethering threads, you have to go into the registry and force it to connect as sprintpcs and not phone as modem, not sure but I think it is hklm/comm/internet sharing or something close .......

Re: phone as modem

You really, don't need to do all of that. If you have one of cooked roms from the ppc kitchen, with Windows Mobile 6.1, all you need to do is >goto progam files>internet sharing click on start and plug it in with mini usb cable, it'll create a connection for you and BAM!! Your surfing the web at dsl speeds.
