Question PPC-6800 Problem

I have a mogul i had it flahed over to cricket yesterday and it worked fine until i downloaded the wm6.1 update and now i cant use the service. But when i call from my girlfiends phone i still have service.

But my question is why does my phone not operate on the cricket service and why can i not even call the sprint customer service or the cricket customer service. Plus my phone will not stop roaming.

I have searched everywhere and nothing has helped can someone shed some light my way before i go back to the place to have it flashed again. Thanks!

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

You may have to flash it back to your carrier's radio. This is why I avoid putting non-carrier specific radios on my phone. I did it once and can't roam on Sprint until Alltel can get it fixed for me.

It wouldn't hurt. If you are on Sprint stay with them. Besides they got the best radio right now.

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

Im am with cricket i started the service yesterday my sprint service was up a month ago. My problem is that after updating to 6.1 my settings got messed up so i cant use my phone to cal, sms, email, or internet. But the phone does still come on and work properly. Because when i call my phone from another phone it rings normally and goes to the voicemail normally but my phone never rings. I think i can get it reflashed.

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

Why not do it yourself? Look around for the stock carrier's ROM for your phone. Just do a search and you will find it yourself.

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

I took it back to the place and he had to reprogram it so now it works. But i do know now that i will backup all files before updating software. My only problem is that now i cant connect to the internet unless i use my wifi. If i try connecting without wifi my IE tries to use sprint everytime. I have to figure out how to make my phone dial cricket everytime but i dont know how. If you do let me know in the meantime i will be searching these threads.

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

I followed the directions in the link but everytime i go to IE it tries to dial 1 and 704 in front of the #777 and it never connects and my phone keeps creating the sprint connection automatically no matter how many times i delete it. Back to searching Thanks though!

Re: PPC-6800 Problem

I still think you should try to flash a Cricket ROM.
