xv6800 and GPS question

I am using dcd 3.2.2, radio 3.42.30. And i am trying to connect to gps using Nav N Go iGO8 but sometimes ill connect right away other times it will just see the satellites. in the bars on the right of the gps screen ill have like 8-9 bars but no connections and in the circle it will periodically flash little red/yellow dots. But when it connects if it decides to they are green and i dont have any issues. Is there something im doing wrong, ive tried the Toggle switch which works most of the time ive tried restarting and ive tried a couple of other things, i know the Verizon Titan sucks with GPS but y does it see the satellites but not connect to them or just flash the dots instead of constantly see them like my friends Tilt does.
