um if 1050 is the PRL you are running, that is totally wrong. it should be 5 numbers like 60613. that's what i use.

Hes on CricKet 1050 is the EVDO PRL. You are running in and out of EV service. There isnt anything you can do your probably close to the edge of the EVDO service. Until they add more, thats probably all your going to get.

is it authenticated for evdo?....press ##33284# and go to the hdr tab...look down at the bottom and if it doesn't say "authenticated" then that may be why it keeps switching..mines never switches to 1x and always says ev unless i'm on the phone or briefly if a text comes through and after i hang up the call it switches back to ev..hope that helps

Re: Evdo Htc 6800

I tried to do that on my Alltel 6800 (##33284#), and it would not do anything except give me a check your number and dial again message. Is Alltel set up differently?

Re: Evdo Htc 6800

Actually, he probably needs to go into EPST. Under security make sure the first and third entry have yourcricket#@mycricket.com and the second and fourth have "cricket". Save changes, reboot. Enjoy. The 01050 PRL will work fine with EVDO, assuming EVDO is in your area.
